DFT designs and manufactures high speedfilm scanners, Telecines, Datacines, and software for applications including; feature films, dailies, digital intermediate, commercial, short-form, archive / restoration markets. DFT's awards include a 2010 SciTech Academy Oscar for the Spirit 4K/2K Scanner and LUTher Color Space Converter, as well as many Emmys.

SCANITYT™ film scanner was launched in 2009, and offers unique features including touch-free optical perforation detection and a continuous motion capstan roller for steady, smooth and safe film handling. It utilizes TDI sensors, which ensures the images are of the highest quality and sharpness. SCANITY scans 4K scanning at up to 15 fps, and 2K at up to 25 fps.
